I just read this ridiculous article and although it made me laugh, it is as serious as a heart attack. NOAA recently posted an ad online looking to hire a speaker for their upcoming government training session who can “create a unique model of translating magic and principles of the psychology of magic, magic tools, techniques and experiences into a method of teaching leadership.” Bahh, you can’t blame them for seeking a motivational wizard!
Apparently the General Services Administration had a similar situation on their hands last year when they made the brave decision to hire a clown and a mindreader for their Las Vegas Conference. Needless to say a couple of people got fired after that malarky.
Good times were had by all, until they got fired.
I am not a republican, or anything else for that matter, but I will say that Mass Senator Scott Brown did his due-dilligence earlier this year by outing NOAA officials who spent $300,000 on a fishing yacht. Boarded on said vessel, these cronies were caught “officially” boozing and yucking it up on the weekends. Oh hell no they didn’t
So you see, just ’cause they make the rules doesn’t mean they play by them. The author of this article says it best: ” NOAA should get back to work, so the fishermen can get back to fishing.”
